Beirut Golden Heart Lions Club Organizes Free Eye Test Event in Collaboration with Farah Al Damour Community
On 24 August 2025, the Beirut Golden Heart Lions Club, in collaboration with the Farah Al Damour Community, proudly organized a free eye test event dedicated to promoting eye health and raising awareness on the importance of regular vision care.
The initiative brought together healthcare professionals, volunteers, and community members under one shared mission: ensuring that everyone, regardless of age or financial means, has access to basic eye checkups. More than just a medical campaign, the event reflected the Lions’ global commitment to supporting vision-related programs and serving communities in need.
A Day of Care and Community
The event welcomed residents of Damour and nearby areas, offering comprehensive eye screenings carried out by professional optometrists and healthcare specialists. Participants received guidance on vision health, advice on preventive measures, and referrals for further treatment when needed.
Volunteers from both the Beirut Golden Heart Lions Club and Farah Al Damour community worked hand in hand to ensure a warm, organized, and supportive environment. From greeting attendees to guiding them through the process, the spirit of service was present at every step of the day.
Why Eye Health Matters
Globally, millions suffer from preventable vision problems due to lack of awareness and access to care. Lions Clubs International has long championed eye health, with projects ranging from sight-saving surgeries to eyeglass donations. The Beirut Golden Heart Lions Club proudly continues this legacy locally, bringing world-class service principles to Beirut and beyond.
